Help Shape the Future of Walking in Edgemont!
The City of Moreno Valley is hosting five community workshops to gather feedback on pedestrian improvements in Edgemont. Your input will help guide the development of the Pedestrian Access Plan (PAP) and ensure future sidewalk and other pedestrian improvements meet community needs.

Project Overview
The City of Moreno Valley is creating a Pedestrian Access Plan to make walking and rolling safer and easier for everyone, no matter their age, ability, or background.
This Plan will help guide the City in choosing the most important projects that improve how people walk around the community. These projects might include things like new sidewalks, better crosswalks, more pedestrian lighting, or changes to the roads to make walking and rolling safer. The Plan will also point out key walking and rolling routes to important places in the community, such as job centers, shopping areas, bus and train stations, schools, and neighborhoods.
Your input is an important part of the Plan. For more information on how to get involved, please visit the Community Events page. You can also sign up for updates on the Provide Input page.
As part of the Pedestrian Action Plan development, the City of Moreno Valley plans to:
Gather and study information about the current walking and rolling environment
Identify projects that can be built to improve walking and rolling routes
Collect input from the community to understand the challenges and opportunities for improving access within the City
Host events for communities to provide input and ask questions with the project team
What is a PAP?
A Pedestrian Access Plan (PAP) is a guide for making walking and rolling safer and easier in the City. It focuses on short-term, medium-term, and long-term improvements, with special attention to the needs of people with disabilities, older adults, and children. The goal of the Plan is to create a list of projects that can be built to improve walking and rolling routes.
To develop this Plan, the project team will gather and study information about the current walking and rolling environment in the City. This includes data on traffic accidents, safety hotspots, pedestrian and bicycle counts, key destinations, and the condition of sidewalks.
Community input is key to this process. The project team will work with residents, business owners, community groups, and other organizations to learn about the challenges and opportunities for improving walking and rolling access within the City. Using this information, along with best practices from other communities, this Plan will create a list of priority projects and specific locations to focus on first.
